Losing weight has always been super hard for me. I tried counting calories and eating better, but nothing worked until I found semaglutide. It made me not think about food all the time. I started eating less, feeling better about myself, going to the gym, and not eating junk food when I was stressed.

I was 274 when I started it, I hit 199 this week. I was thinking this morning, that if there’s one thing I could change, it’s that this would have existed in my 20’s. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy I have it now, but man. The years I struggled with binge eating disorder, hating myself, blaming myself, gaining, losing, gaining, losing… I strongly urge you to try it. It’s been such a game-changer.

More than the physical health benefits of my weight loss I’m constantly astounded by how much better I feel mentally. All of my old coworkers have commented on how much happier I seem. My family has noticed my better mental health. But most importantly I have noticed it.

Ozempic has been life changing for me. I actually feel full, and not just either hungry or stuffed. I fill up much sooner. I'm not always looking for a snack or thinking about what I'm going to cook or buy for my next meal. I'm not always worried about if I'm eating too much or balancing something I ate that had more calories by trying to restrict myself later. And the weight is coming off steadily. The first month I lost 10lbs, but lately I'm averaging about 1lb a week. Considering how fast I could put it on, I'm happy with that.

I started 10 months ago, I was 190. Now I weigh 148 on 1.5- I was an active person my whole life, but I had arthritis in my knees and some other health issues (hypertension etc), and working out became nonexistent. After losing 20, my knees felt better and I started riding the stationary bike and going on 30 min walks in the morning. Now I can full sprint again and my knees don’t hurt anymore. I got off my hypertension meds 3 weeks ago! It’ll feel slow sometimes but just keep doing the little things that you can, little walks etc add up!

It’s incredible how you can do things with ease now….crossing your legs on the couch, getting out of the car in a tight parking spot, not feeling like I’m going to break that plastic chair.
